TPI cannot log into QB after QB upgrade and new server
Problem reported by Andy Callaway - April 10 at 3:43 PM
We just upgraded QB from 2017 to Manufacturing and Wholesale Edition 18.0 and also put our company file on a new server.
Transaction Pro Importer 5.0
Now TPI cannot connect any longer.
We have re-authorised the TPI application and changed the server path being called from the batch file.
The precise error is:
Line: 123 This application is unable to log into this QuickBooks company data file automatically.
The QuickBooks administrator must grant permission for an automatic login through the Integrated Application preferences.
If such permission was already granted, the administrator must revoke permission, save preferences, then grant the permission again.

Hi Karen.
Thanks for the prompt response.
We followed these steps (which are quite old) but our issue remains.
Any further suggestions as our interface has been down now for 5 days?

Thanks Karen.
With QB open we receive a different error:
Line: 123 A Quickbooks Company data file is already open and it is different from the one requested or there are multiple company files open.
(Error # 2147220470)
We were able to get it to work when the .qbw file is local to TPI but not at the new server path.
It was working just fine at the old server path.
Again any input or advice much appreciated

Hi Karen,  We are still facing issues here.  We have concluded that with QB open everything is fine and our batch files run fine as before.  As soon as we close QB we get various errors such as "QB has stopped working", "QB desktop has expired", etc.  We have contacted QB Support and they did a clean install of QB but the problem persists.
Can you suggest anything else we could try.  We followed your article above but it has not solved the issue.
It's really impractical to leave QB open all the time so TPI batch files can run :-(
