Create the Troubleshooting Log
For troubleshooting purposes, the Troubleshooting Log in Transaction Pro Importer may be requested by Support.
Below are the steps to create the Troubleshooting Log.
- Create a one line import file that can recreate the error message.
- Verify that the latest version of Importer is being used. Select ABOUT in the lower left-hand corner of the Importer screen and click CHECK FOR UPDATES. If the latest version is not being used, download and install the latest version.
- Select the option for Importer to create the Troubleshooting Log. Click the OPTIONS button on the first screen of Importer. Select the ADVANCED tab and check the box next to the last option on the screen to OUTPUT ALL COMMUNICATIONS WITH QUICKBOOKS TO XML LOG FILE.
- Run the import.
- After the import is completed, locate the file in My Documents/01 Transaction Pro Importer/(Import Type) Error Log.txt and send to Support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
